About Us

The Shepherd’s House is an exciting church family that was planted in the spring of 2005 by Michael & Mary Ellen Brennan. Michael & Mary Ellen, along with 35 other friends, were sent out from a larger church family in New York to plant a vibrant place of worship in the southern portion of the Capital District near Albany, New York. Although the Shepherd’s house is still a young work, it is a increasing in every way by the Spirit of God and Jesus Christ is being exalted in the lives of the people and His fame is being spread throughout the region and unto the nations!

The Shepherd’s House is part of an apostolic team and family of churches called International Apostolic Ministries, (I. A. M.) Since the Word of God tells us that the foundations of the Church are built upon “holy apostles and prophets” we believe that it is important that our church has those great foundation stones in place therefore we are ministered to by apostles and prophets on a regular basis.

The Shepherd’s House is a revival based church and our hearts are seeking God continually for the power of His Spirit to be made manifest in our midst in every service of worship and meeting, as well as every home in our region.

Michael and Mary Ellen have a heart to see the substance of the Father’s love unify and transform with signs, wonders and miracles their Capital District and Hudson Valley region. They also are responding to their call to the nations with connections in Tanzania, South Africa and Nepal. They look forward to a growing, life long connection to the IAM family to make the Name of Jesus famous throughout the world.

The Shepherd’s House is a growing, prosperous, family worship center and church that is already making a difference in the community and the region.

Our worship team is skillful and prophetic. Our children’s ministries bring the young believers into a new and glorious walk with God. Our family ministries are building strength into our communities and we are training and sending people to the nations with the gospel of Jesus Christ!

In June of each year we provide a ministry of A-Team and A-Force Training, where people come for three weeks of intense ministry training and are sent to do the works of the ministry. A-Team is a group of young men and women between the ages of 18 & 33 years who travel for 5-6 weeks in the summer to minister in churches throughout the Northeast region of the US. A-Force is a group of people of all ages who are leaders of churches and ministries that will take viable places of leadership in their community of believers.

Our Affiliation

The Shepherd’s House is an inter-denominational church that is not independent. We are part of a wonderful family of churches and ministries known as International Apostolic Ministries, (I.A.M.). In fact, The Shepherd’s House actually serves as an IAM Regional Center for the Northeast!

All of our Churches and Ministries share a common purpose and vision to bring healing, revival, and reformation to the world around us.

IAM has an Apostolic Team of apostles and prophets whose hearts and lives are knit together in divine purpose that especially targets our region for the sake of revival and reformation.

All of us at The Shepherd’s House benefit by our relationship with IAM in many ways. There is a confidence that our church is built according to the model given in the New Testament. There is a constant expansion of vision as we interact with these global ministers. There is security in having genuine apostolic and prophetic oversight and input. There is a continual impartation of anointing. There is a great sense of community, love and shared purpose among all IAM churches and ministries. There are wide open doors of opportunity to those who want to minister in other nations through one of our many international churches and friends.
