Trip to Israel

by Nathan Westfall on February 22, 2011

God has recently been stirring Pastor Michael to take a trip to Israel. On March 14th, 2011, he will be traveling there with some other apostolic leaders. One of the reasons he will be going there is to make strategic intercession and declaration to the region. We believe that Pastor Michael is being sent there “For such a time as this.” We would like to help send him there as a representative of the Kingdom of God, the Shepherd’s House, and the International Apostolic Ministries. Please pray and ask God what He might have you do. If you would like to help in financing this trip, please donate on our website. Click Here to go the payment page and fill out the description as “Israel”. Thank you for your support and your prayers.

Mission Peru – Wayne C. Anderson

by Wayne C Anderson on February 10, 2011

As the new year has come, it ushers in a new decade – the second decade of the twenty-first century. It is, without a doubt, the decade of establishment of the promises of God through the prophets of old.

These are the days of the spirit and the power of Elijah the prophet that is promised to come upon the Church.

There is an open window of heaven for us to establish the kingdom of God in the nation of Peru. Apostle Marco Llinella has, once again, welcomed us to come in apostolic authority and work the works of Jesus’ kingdom amongst the people of that great nation. In February I will be taking Kevin Ford, Joshua Anderson & Rick Wilson to Peru with me. It is sure to be one of the most important missions trips that I have ever made due to the times and the seasons of the Lord.

There are two things that we need for Peru right now. We need prayer and intercession for us, for the team in Peru, and for the people of the nation. We also need a financial miracle. The Van that Apostle Llinella and his team uses to transport us from place to place was lost to them and they are in need of a new one. The cost of a new van to replace the old one is $21,000 US Dollars. The prices of automobiles in the US are far lower than in other nations around the world – Peru is no exception. Vehicle costs are considerably higher in Peru, yet in just as much need there as here. In fact, there is no mode of transportation that is available to us in Peru to do what we need to do without the use of a people moving van of some kind. So, this van is nothing less than a necessity for the sake of the gospel.

Lima is the capital city of Peru where there are more than eight million people. We need to be able to move among the poor from township to township in order to preach to them the kingdom of God, the gospel of God’s powerful grace and to give them the divine healing and miracle substance of the love of the Father.

Please put your earnest faith to work with us and pray for the spirit of generosity to come upon those who can invest in missions to see us reach the lost and the hurting people of Peru. I honestly believe this to be one of the great investments in the gospel at this time.

Here is a harvest donation button for the harvest of souls in Peru that you can use if you would like to help us financially.

Tree of Knowledge or Tree of Life

by Pastor Michael Brennan on February 8, 2011

To be “born again” means that you have eaten of the Tree of Life. So now the fullness of all that life brings is yours. Anything connected with the absence of life – death- has been completely destroyed. You have Eternal Life. You will never be without light even when you are surrounded by deep darkness. You will never to be “better than” anyone ever again because “eternal Life” is the “best” – there is no “better than” Eternal Life. People will never need to be “less than” to you, especially those who regard you as “less than”, because they are no longer the measure you use to gauge your value and worth. Eternal life is now your worth and value gauge. That gauge is forever legally established in the covenant shed Blood of Eternal Life Himself. So emotions connected to disdain, disregard, or rejection of others are only the lingering effect of once having eaten of the “tree of the knowledge of good and evil”. Now the only emotion that you need to “own” is Eternal Life’s nature to love. Competition no longer defines the world for you. Winning and losing only has meaning to you in relationship to the boundless victory that Eternal life has over death. All of your former “knowledge-of-good-and-evil” need to be “right” has totally been satisfied by the all-encompassing “rightness” found in Eternal Life. So……… stop owning all those lies about your worth and value… Also, where in the Word does it say that we were to “eat” of the Tree of Life only once? “As often as you do this”!!!!

The Opposite of Faith

by Pastor Michael Brennan on February 2, 2011

I have heard many descriptions for the opposite of faith. Doubt, fear, hatred to name a few. Actually one of my favorites is offense – needing others to affirm you instead of “believing” in God’s affirmation of you. But I recently read about another so obvious it caught me by surprise – SIGHT – Yes, sight is the opposite of faith. Start thinking about that and you suddenly begins to realize that functioning according to “sight” is something that has been deeply programmed into our DNA for generations. This has got to be the number one battle we face every day. And the reason is that “sight” has taught us to “see” the problem first. You’re on your way to work and suddenly you find yourself back up in a traffic jam. As soon as you “see” that you now have a problem what you are “seeing’ will now begin to open up doors of conversation in your mind almost all of which begin to magnify your presence problem. “Seeing,” says that you are going to be late… that you’re plans are going to be messed up…. that you’re wasting time, gas, etc…BUT FAITH… If we immediately begin to activate “seeing by faith” then out of the inspiration of Holy Spirit come answers, solutions, how this can “work for good” begins to flow from the mind of our heart to the mind of our head. “Sight” may still have a hold on all the emotions connected to our “problem” but faith begins to renew our mind and as we think so the rest of us goes. “Sight” will always breath darkness into our problem…make us feel like we are victims of lost time…. rob our peace with anxiety…. motivate us to anger and blame. Our time of delay in traffic becomes “dead” time – a vacuum that sucks life out of us. Activated faith turns that “dead” time into life. By faith we step into who we are as eternal beings and that “lost” time gets redeemed with a simple act of worship. Your outside world is stuck in a traffic jam but the real you is Present in eternity with your Father in the Throne by faith. He gets to download all kinds of Kingdom stuff to you – some personal “You-and-Me” time, some focused intercession, some revelation He wants for you, and the list is endless. Heaven is always just on the other side of the veil of “sight” and “faith” opens that veil… “And the just live by faith”…

Which Triangle are you Living in?

by Pastor Michael Brennan on January 24, 2011

If you were to view your life as a triangle and divide it into two sections representing the good and bad aspects of yourself where would your dividing line be? To have an honest representation you would have to give the biggest section to the aspect that you spend the most time on. If you could graph your average day would how much of your thinking would fall into the “righteousness, peace, and joy” section and how much into the “wrongness, agitation, and fear” section? The answer is very important because “as a man thinks, so he is”. If you have entered the covenant of Grace by inviting the nature of God to abide in your spirit, then you already possess as your nature the extreme opposite of “wrongness, agitation and fear”. Remember you are a spirit being – it is your nature – so the concept of “already possessing” is not just a “positional” one – it is the actual truth. So why does our triangle still have such a large “bad” section? Once again the “actual” truth is the presence of Grace (The Person of Unlimited Goodness) in us has so completely eliminated all “bad” that the need for a dividing line no longer exists. It is because we have not let that “truth” invade everything that triggers “bad” (false) thinking that we still “deal with” dividing lines in our triangle. Light lives in our triangle, so the only issue we have is PUTTING the dimmer switch ON the highest setting. “Put on the Lord Jesus Christ and make no provision for the flesh”. All those “put on”, “set your minds on”, “count yourself as”, “have this confidence”, “be anxious for nothing”, “I am fully persuaded”, etc., etc., when spoken in the authority of Grace become the new “triggers” for living in the triangle of “Righteousness, peace and joy….”

Living in His Promises

by Pastor Michael Brennan on January 9, 2011

Last Sunday we saw that one great biblical strategies for “Looking at everything through His eyes” was living in His Promises. “But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.” (2Cor.3:18) What a great picture! Imagine stepping in front of the mirror and for the first time actually seeing yourself as someone profoundly lovable, flawless, perfect and glorious in every way. As you stare more and more into that mirror every negative thought that you every had about yourself vanishes with every second you gaze. Imagine having that mirror with you all the time. How many times would you look into it? How often would it bring you back to the “truth” about you, especially when life would begin to tell you the opposite? The Word of God is full of promises that can become that ever present mirror that continually reveals the “truth” about us – who we really are – even when we get really ugly. This is not self centered staring, because the “image” we are looking at is the same image that the Father sees when He looks at the Risen Lord. Looking into the “truth” about you is really not about you but Him. “As He is, so are we in this world”.

His promises go far beyond just a text we quote at a tough time. Peter says that “ exceedingly great and precious promises have been given to us that through these we may be partakers of the divine nature having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust”. So seeing ourselves in the mirror of His promises is how we “partake” in His nature and manifest that nature to a world that needs to have the same mirror we have. Could your heart use a look into the promise that “He heals the broken hearted and binds up their wounds”? How safe will you feel after you have looked and seen that “He is my refuge…. My high tower….. in your wings I will make my refuge….. He is my fortress….. He keeps me secretly in His pavilion”? Feeling lack – what about looking into to how He “is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think”? Your mirror is far more “magic” than anything Disney has or ever could create. It’s full of pictures of you “casting all your cares on Him” and “singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs; you seeing Him as “ever present” and all sufficient, comforting, healing, directing, strengthening, Wisdom ….. time to get that mirror out and start “lookin’ good”.
